The University is Ours - Toronto conference, 27-29 April 2012
All are invited to attend:
"The University is Ours: A conference on struggles within and beyond the neoliberal university"
to be held in Toronto, primarily at U of T, from April 27-29.
The conference is being organized by a loose coalition of faculty, students and staff from across the country (including several of us from UWO) who feel that Canadian university activists and critics desperately need a venue to come together to discuss strategies for dealing with the on-going attack on public education. And, given the student struggles against austerity in Europe, North Africa, and the US over the past few years, we also wanted to provide a chance for activists and academics from all over the globe to join with us in sharing their experiences and re-imagining the future of the university.
You can check out the conference website, with program here:

Admission is free for all students and precariously employed academic workers. For those with full time emplyment, we are asking for a small registration fee.
If you are interested in attending any or all of the conference, please RSVP at: universityisour@gmail.com
