A chance to make a difference
In my youth I lived in the third world and was inspired to create art that promotes fair trade and environmentalism (www.bazant.ca). I've wanted to return for years and now I finally have another chance to make a difference. With your help I can make it really count.
On July 3rd I depart for Northern Uganda to complete a month long volunteer effort with Kirabo Canada. The results of this non-profit excursion will have a direct impact on the impoverished children of Lira who have been terrorized by the Lord’s Resistance Army for decades.
To raise money for airfare and much needed provisions for the children I have created a raffle for a luxury eco prize pack valued over $700. It is a fantastic set of products and services from seven like-minded globally conscious small businesses and artisans.
For more info, and to purchase raffle tickets online, click HERE. To donate in person, come and see me (Lara Bazant) at the AppleTree Market - North Toronto Memorial Community Centre - 200 Eglinton Avenue West (behind the building – by the tennis courts/ice rink).
I will be there every Thursday from 3:00pm - 7:00pm.
It's a great prize for a great cause! Thanks in advance for your support.
