Trump off: Ban Trump from Canada’s World Cup in 2026
It’s not just his insults to Canada and other states, it’s the shame of having a disreputable miscreant associated with a tournament dedicated to one of the best in human skills and a celebration of global solidarity. Let us show dedication to the best by excluding someone who corrodes what the World Cup Jules Rimet trophy stands for.To support this cause email postmaster @TorontotheBetter.net with NoTrump in the title line.

Many recent news releases have sounded surprised that some retailers may be evading responsibilities and/or falsifying information about their products' origins, but until they are threatened with consequences that's what they'll do, leaving purchasers to do their homework and genuinely ethical enterprises to be honest, - a tall order for many, it now seems.

2026 “Whirled Cup” just 12 months away
June 12, 2026 is the day the FIFA World Cup of soccer/football, the biggest sporting event in the world, will come to Toronto. And "whirled" it will be. Stay tuned to TorontotheBetter for what is to come as we contribute our voice to progress for all despite the whirling plutocracy of a historically scandal ridden FIFA, the sport’s governing body. In the months ahead there will inevitably be moral and political mayhem and much talk about "the beautiful game. But with Donald Trump still in office in one of the three North American co-hosts (U.S. Canada and Mexico) there will also be motive and opportunity to oppose current transgressions of decency and legality.
18 July 2025 Already in mid 2025 we see two themes emerging: 1) Inequality and 2) Appropriation. Under 1) we note that FIFA assigns tickets to those who can pay most and under 2) we note that the FIFA club World Cup trophy, now entrusted to the USA president will never leave the White House. The “people’s game” does not house a people’s trophy and few “people” can attend the people’s games.FIFA is a rich man’s club and with club participation go privileges unavailable to the masses.
