As more and more goods and services get delivered worldwide delivery workers have seen their economic presence increase/ Unionization has become an option that more are campaigning around, to ensure economic change pays off for workers, not just owners like Uber. Coffee Works Anarchist Cafe to close? NO. Spirit of Emma Goldman to the rescure!

LATE NEWS: following a visit to the Cefe by TorontotheBetter colleagues on Friday we are pleased to be able to report that Coffee Works/aka The Anarchist Cafe at 190 Jarvis St (near Dundas) will remain open, ideally as a worker cooperative with the help of TorontotheBetter founder, Libra Knowledge and Infoormation Services Co-op.
Do it ASAP. Toronto is better for its presence.

Monarchies mean rule by one only - end them now!
Rule by one is bad for people everywhere; they are an anachronism and waste resources on PR pageantry instead of human needs. That is why, as social economy supporters TorontotheBetter opposes monarchy, however whitewashed its media face. Any new monarch candidate serious about democracy should resign or, in the most recent example oof the so-called United Kingdom, refuse to take office. They could remain in the public eye as educators for monarchy abolition. With thousands of refugees and displaced in today's world coronations and their products are dangerous distractions. The 2023 version is another opportunity for learning and action. It has been wasted.
