Merry? The clothes we buy and the people who make them
Get SureR Health without “Sure Health”
For expenses not covered by your regular insurance plan, including dental, massage, chiropractors etc. the daily TV ad mantra goes there’s SureHealth, for which you pay an annual fee. What they don’t tell you is that there is a “surer” plan than SureHealth; it’s called public health insurance and there’s no up front payment required. The alternative to not covered costs is covered. What is needed is not independent health insurance plans like SureHealth is inclusions of the uncovered in Canada’s single public health plan called Medicare. SureHealth from GreenShield May be “non-profit” but it was founded by a pharmacist and is private. We can change this, just as Medicare itself offered a public alternative to private medicine, with similar qualitative and economic benefits for all no matter what their income.
